Consider this interface:

This would allow to:
  • easily create "search"-queries on a project's tasks
  • move tasks to folders, team-members, milestones, priorities
  • move milestones, team-members and other attributes to (multiple) task(s)
  • also note the quick-view area on the right. I am not quiet sure how this could be implemented, but it would display detailed information on the currently selected task and an quick update dialog with the most frequently used cases (changing priority, commenting and reassigning).
    • with multiple tasks selected, it could display a summary and a multiple task editting (i.e. changing attributes for several items at once).
