I opt to add in new effort form possibility to choose person, to which new effort is assigned (by default its logged person).

Reasons:
  • ie I work on task and I ask other person (consultation) it sometimes takes 30-60 minutes, after meeting me and that other person should book their efforts. It will be much easier if I could add my and that persons efforts.
  • I could book efforts of persons without account as their efforts, not mine.
I think it is very practical option.

This is for sure for admin, PM's and maybe for developers and members.

What do you think about this idea?

More user rights required :(

But I can understand this feature request. The problem is, that we do not know who is a PM. It's a profile, but it is not necessarily the only profile a PM could have. There is no flag PM.

madlyr:Then let's everybody except guest could add sb else effort

If this will be done by client to sb with bigger rights, then this effort will not editable by them, which is natural (no changes to streber are necessary).

One restriction - person adding effort to sb else can see only persons from assigned to them project (related persons).

Wouldn't this require to list the "creator" of an effort, if it is not the person himself? This might become confusing, if everybody books efforts here and there.

It would require to list changes efforts in recentChanges too.

I'd like to see this feature implemented in streber for the same reason. Besides, I'd like to be able to book an effort to multiple people at once. We could add a field in the 'book effort' page (e.g. 'book effort for people(s):') that will allow to select one or more people from a list (like for team members in the project page).

For instance: Some people attend a meeting. We want to book the meeting effort to those people. The project manager is in charge to book this effort. This feature would allow the project manager to book several efforts to multiple people at once.
