To binder:

I am not really convinced about splitting up those fields because:

1. it would require a new DB-upgrade procedure with php-functions (this would be quiet some work but we will need this sooner or later anyway)
2. This upgrade function would require to detect the First and Last name etc. automatically. So I do not see, why this should autodection should not be possible on the fly (My WindowsCE contacts on my PDA also does it on the fly, I add I think its a pretty powerful CRM than streber).
3. From the usability point of view this would require some advanced form formatting (like several fields in one line, etc). But this too is also needed anyway...

So to sum up the discussion this is a matter of taste.

It 1:1 for precise fields. Any other team member who wants to drop a comment on this one? I am open for all results. :-)
