This feature should doπ

  • you can delete persons anytime
  • the person is marked as deleted (state = -1) and listed no longer in team members list
  • the account of the person is deactivated
  • the nickname of the person is been changed to "nickname (deleted)"
  • the person is now listed under "persons -> deleted". It can be restored, but to reenable this account you would have to rename the nickname
  • person's efforts are keeped and listed as "nickname (deleted)"
optionally:
  • persones assigned tasks are unassigned

I don't think unassigning the person from all his tasks is a good idea.
For various reasons the deleted person should keep all his tasks.
just a few reasons:
  • the PM needs the booked efforts with the tasks
  • statistics
  • If the PM has some questions on specific tasks, he should be able to call/mail the deleted person
  • If the person is revoked, he/she should see his old tasks
  • ...
But if the person is deleted forever and his/her old tasks are not needed anymore it should be optional to delete the person from all tasks/efforts/...

he should be able to call/mail the deleted person

"Hello, deleted person. Can you hear me?" This sound like voodoo-stuff ;-)

LOL...

just thinking of Indiana Jones and the little prince putting needles in his voodoo-puppy!!!

ok, back to serious talk! ;)
I admit, we do this rarely, but it happens. If I come to a problem in a project, and know, that an ex-employee knows a fast answer, I call him! ;)
